Accountancy Apprenticeships at Aspreys

We’re delighted to welcome Izzy Harber to Aspreys Accountants as our newest Associate, joining us through our apprenticeship programme.

We believe that great accountants aren’t just built through exams and qualifications, they’re developed through real experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to learn on the job. That’s why our apprenticeship scheme is such an important part of how we grow our team, and invest in the next generation of accountancy talent.

From Administrative Assistant to Apprentice Associate

Izzy isn’t new to Aspreys. Last year, she spent time with us as an Administrative Assistant, where she got a first-hand look at how our team works.

Why choose the apprenticeship route?

For Izzy, the decision to pursue an apprenticeship rather than a purely academic route came down to how she learns best.

Izzy’s interest in accountancy first developed through studying Business at GCSE and college level. Which led her to seek out work experience to confirm accountancy was the right career path for her. She is now working towards her AAT qualification, with ACA to follow, combining formal study with genuine hands-on experience in a busy, growing practice.

To support her training, we work in partnership with Kaplan, one of the UK’s leading providers of accountancy apprenticeships, ensuring Izzy receives high-quality, structured learning alongside her day-to-day work at Aspreys.
