Aspreys is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Paterson as Head of Practice Development. A key leadership role that will play a vital part in shaping the firm’s continued growth and development.

Chris brings over 15 years of experience in accountancy practice, working with a diverse range of clients across technology, medical, and property sectors. As a fully qualified accountant (FCCA, ACA) and member of both the ACCA and ICAEW, Chris combines technical expertise with a genuine passion for helping businesses and individuals thrive.

Chris has always been drawn to a career that blends numbers with people, finding real satisfaction in building relationships with clients and helping them understand not just their figures, but the bigger picture behind them.

His specialist areas include supporting startups through SEIS/EIS schemes, tax planning for individuals and businesses, and broader business advisory services. Chris is particularly skilled at navigating complex scenarios. For example, helping clients move properties from personal ownership into a limited company structure in a tax-efficient way, including direct liaison with HMRC to ensure a smooth and compliant process.

As Head of Practice Development, Chris plays a key role in driving business growth and efficiency across Aspreys, while ensuring every client feels confident that their affairs are in safe, capable hands.
